Prof. William Chen is the Michael Fam Endowed Professor, and Director of Food Science and Technology Programme at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. He is also driving two of Singapore government funded food initiatives, first as Director of Singapore Agri-food Innovation Lab (SAIL), and also as Scientific Director of Singapore Future Ready Food Safety Hub (FRESH). His food technology innovations have been extensively attracting global attention and active partnerships with food industry leading to consumer products development.
The recent ‘Going Green’ programme by CNN described him as a Game-Changing Leader in the green revolution. His views on food tech innovations and food security have been covered regularly by major local and international media. He is also advisor/consultant to overseas universities, government agencies, food industry, and international organizations.
