Timothy Loh has been a part of the U.S. soy industry for more than 23 years. Since 2014, he has been serving as the Regional Director for the U.S. Soybean Export Council overseeing the S.E. Asia and Oceania region. Previously, he served as USSEC’s Director of Marketing for over a decade.
In addition to his general management responsibilities, Timothy also leads USSEC’s regional Sustainability and ESG program and provides direction for the development of marketing strategies and customer experience initiatives. With a team of thirty-five trade and technical professionals in USSEC Singapore, Timothy is dedicated to promoting U.S. Soy for food and feed applications in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
Timothy began his career in ocean transportation, where he managed the commercial prospects of a fleet of Panamax vessels with an international shipping firm. Later, he gained operational experience at the regional headquarters of the U.S.-based grain company, Continental Grain Company (CGC), in Hong Kong, Geneva, and New York. After that, he moved to the Philippines to serve as CGC's Country Marketing Manager.
Timothy holds a Masters in Agribusiness from Kansas State University and a Degree in Finance from Western Michigan University. He specializes in international agribusiness marketing and trade, ocean transportation, and supply-chain logistics for agricultural commodities. Timothy is passionate about raising awareness and supporting Sustainability and Sustainable Sourcing Practices in the Food and Agriculture industry.
